Carol Frost Ferrell

Carol Ann Frost Ferrell, 84, born in Dallas on February 24, 1935, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2019. Carol grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She attended UNT and OU. She was involved in many organizations, including the Alpha Phi sorority.

On December 16, 1966, she married her best friend, George Ferrell, and they enjoyed a loving 53 year marriage. They moved to California in 1969 and spent nine wonderful years there before returning to Dallas.

Carol launched her own business as a very successful designer rep with her own showroom in the Apparel Mart for many years. It became a family business when Jo Ann joined the company, working alongside Carol for several years. Jo Ann and Carol both cherished their working relationship. Carol deeply loved her family and her many friends. She was a mentor and second mother to countless people over the years, including business associates, employees, and her children’s friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Armand “Jack” Frost and Ruth Wells Frost.

She is survived by her doting husband George, daughter Jo Ann Hodges, her husband Craig and their children, Haley, Kaki, and Case Hodges; daughter Linda Larsen and her children, Erik, Jim and wife Frankie and their son Lennon, Diana and her husband Chris Hanchard; sister Diane Fleener and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at 3:00PM in the Northwest Highway Chapel at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas.
