Brazzena Banks was born September 25, 1940 to the union of William Banks and Mary Lou Evans in Waterproof, LA. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Sam Williams at the Springfield Baptist Church in Loamland, LA. In 1969, she moved to Texas and united with the Morning Star Missionary Baptist in Grand Prairie, TX. She served as a faithful member of the Usher Board until her death.
Brazzena Banks was married in holy matrimony to Mr. Mark Tennessee, Jr. on July 4, 1964 in Waterproof, LA. Their union was blessed with four children.
Employed by The Greenhouse as an assistant housekeeper for 25 years. In her leisure she enjoyed, church activities, serving the Lord, and spending time with family.
On Friday night September 18, 2020 at Medical Center of Arlington, TX; she took wings and flew away to rest forevermore.
She was preceded in death by husband, Mark Tennessee, Jr.; her uncle Collis Gardner; her mother Mary Lou Lee; her aunt Mildred Love; her sister Ethel Willis; and her daughter Veronda Tennessee.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Samuel Banks of Fort Worth, TX; Michael Banks of Grand Prairie, TX; one daughter, Evelyn Tennessee of Grand Prairie, TX; four sisters Geraldine Johnson and Edna Johnson of Fort Worth, TX; Gloria McKinize and Diane Lee of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren, Krystle Tennessee, Deonta Tennessee, Markavius Banks, and Tiffany Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Rogers, Kourtney Marshall, and Maxwell Rogers; three God-Children, Quentin Barclay, Azari Lang, and Jalen Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
