Brandon Geroid Davis

Brandon Geroid Davis, age 54, of Grapevine Texas passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2023. He was born in Dallas, TX on August 25, 1968 to Keiller “Tuck” Davis and Shirley Patton Davis. He attended Skyline High School. Afterwards he attended a local Community College, then transferred to Texas Tech graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Arts Sociology. In 1994, he worked for Allstate Insurance where he met the love of his life, Maryellen Sobotka. They were married on August 17, 1999 and had two sons together, Ashton (26) and Cameron (21).

Brandon went back to school and graduated from the University of Dallas in 2000 with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Brandon worked for several different companies during his career and was last employed with One Technologies as their Director of IT Infrastructure and DevOps.

Brandon loved to travel with Maryellen, family and friends and they went to several exotic places. Las Vegas was by far his favorite place. He had a passion for life and enjoyed many different events and activities with family and friends. He enjoyed attending NASCAR and Formula One races and always liked to watch his favorite drivers compete on TV. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and would often go on road trips with his father-in-law. He had a love of music and would often attend events, concerts and conventions where he would buy vinyl records and CDs from his favorite musicians. Brandon loved hockey and in early years played on an adult amateur league and later coaching and supporting his son Cameron.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Maryellen Davis; his sons Ashton Dakota Davis and Cameron Phillip Davis; his in-laws Phillip and Marcia Sobotka; his Uncle and Aunt David and Linda Patton; his Sister-in-law Emily Jean Brych and husband Matt; his Sister-in-law Melissa Mae Buhro and husband Brian; his niece Isabella Buhro and nephew Joseph Buhro; and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tuck and Shirley Davis, and many Aunts and Uncles.

A visitation for Brandon will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
