Bobby Wayne Smith

Bob was born to George and Verna Mae Smith on June 1, 1940 in Limestone County. During his high school years, he enjoyed playing basketball and football; after graduation he eventually moved to Dallas and began working for Coca-Cola Bottling Company where he worked until his retirement.

Bob believed in hard work and dedication. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed being outside from sunrise to sunset. Any outdoors activities always brought him joy. He spent much of his time growing vegetables in his garden, beautifying his lawn, working on one of his antique cars, or grilling some of the best ribs in Dallas.

Bob was a devoted member of Parkside Missionary Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Tx. He was a faithful member that served in the choir and often helped maintain the church grounds.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Verna Mae Smith; brothers, George Smith, Clifton Smith, Frankie Smith, Tommy James Smith, and Charles Smith; and sisters, Willie Glen and Betty Joe Smith. Bob leaves a loving legacy and cherished memories with his children, grandchildren, sisters, brother, and a host of family and friends.
