I had the opportunity to work with Bob back at McKenna and Cuneo in Washington, D.C., especially with his contribution to the West's Federal Forms treatise on National Courts (Federal Circuit and Court of Claims), in 1995. Far more importantly, Bob's sense of humor and energy will stay with me always. He truly stood out at the firm in a great way. I remember some of his favorite bands were Yes, from his younger days, and Aquarium Rescue Unit. I was looking him up on the Internet to see what he was up to, and I found this. I am very sorry for your loss.

Jacqueline, I was honored to attend today's Funeral Mass but was unable to stay for the reception.  It was a lovely Mass and your eulogy was perfect.  I'm sure Bob is proud of you and your courage.  May the Peace of Christ be with you and your family.

What started as a business relationship with Bob a long time ago grew into a wonderfully close friendship lasting many years.  We had many great adventures together, especially in the world of Government contracting.  When Bob needed my help on something, he would always send me an email saying Mrs. Peel, you are needed, referring, of course, to the Avengers.  I guess he saw himself as Steed.  I can recall many evenings arguing over a scotch about who was the best band, best guitarist, best drummer, best vocalist, and so on, much to the utter amazement of his associates who had the misfortune of joining us old guys.  He loved the Grateful Dead.  Bob never wavered in his opinions.  His dismissals of my opinions were always prefaced with Dude.  One of our last debates was finding the meaning behind Neil Young's Powderfinger, which got me another Dude.  Bob made me laugh.  I was lucky to have known him, and I will think upon him often.  My deepest sympathies to Jacqueline and the Sherry family.

Jacqueline, Bob's children and family, It has been my pleasure to have known Bob. He will be missed. I wish you all peace during this hard time. Find comfort knowing that He will always with you.

Very sorry to hear about Bob.  We had not spoken for a while and I now deeply regret not picking up the phone.  He was great guy with a big personality who squeezed all he could out of life. Worked with Bob at McKenna in the late '80's and we played hockey together for a few years after that (of course, we both probably spent far too much time in the penalty box).  Always loved his vitality and humor and although it had been many years since we had seen each other, was very saddened to hear of his passing. I was a colleague of Bob's years ago at McKenna and played hockey with him in the early 90's, where we both probably spent too much time in the penalty box.  Always respected his humor and energy and, while it's been a number of years since our paths have crossed, his vitality always was impressive.  So sorry to hear of his passing.
