Billy Joe Spencer, 60, met an untimely death on January 4, 2023 in Plano, Texas. He was born on October 3, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Winford and Dora Spencer. Billy Joe Spencer was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Pinkston High school in 1980. He met Rebecca Rebolloso on May 5, 1985 and got married on April 19, 1991. He is preceded in death by his grandparents J.C. and Lovie Spencer, and Antonia Martinez, BrijidoVasquez Huerta, father Billy Winford Spencer, brother Thomas Martinez and granddaughter Angel Pura Cunningham. He is survived by his mother Dora Huerta Spencer, siblings and their spouses Stella Martinez, Tony (Jariya) Spencer, Brigida Spencer, Dora Ann (Leo) Pinales, his wife Rebecca Spencer and their six children and their spouses Ramiro Valle III, Lorena (Ernest) Charles, Sylvester (Vivian) Valle, Tony (San Jauna) Valle, Rebecca (Robert) Cunningham, Billy (Angela “Angie”)Spencer and thirteen grandchildren and their spouses Felix (Wendy) Charles, Alysa (Cris) Samaniego, Jennifer Valle Camacho, Ernest Charles Jr., Tony Valle, Allyssa Cunningham, Revy Charles, Matthew Valle, Elizabeth Cunningham, Isadora Cunningham, Grayson Spencer, Danielle Spencer”Purita” and two great-grandchildren Cris Samaniego, Luke Samaniego, all his nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was a truck driver at FedEx Freight where he worked for 24 of his 37 years of driving.
He was an accomplished driver and received a 20 Year Safe Driving Award and Safety Above All Award. In his spare time Billy enjoyed cracking jokes with his grandkids, watching his shows, playing candy crush, going cruising with his honey in his truck, listening to his 70’s rock music like Led Zeppelin, Rush, Kiss, watching sports, being surrounded with family, playing his guitar, cleaning his guns and his truck. He enjoyed watching meteor showers, collecting coins, guns, baseball cards, toy cars, and maintaining his yard. He loved to cook outdoors. His family and friends will always remember him as a selfless person, also serving others with no hesitation, always with a smile on his face; a positive attitude and always joking.
