Billy Jack Costlow Sr.

Billy Jack Costlow , 90, of Combine, TX, passed away on 11-20-2024, surrounded by

his loving family.

Billy was born 3-2-1934 in Anderson County, TX, the son of Clint and Mable Costlow. Billy graduated from Riley High School in 1952. Billy was selected for the Army in 1956, and served until honorably discharged in 1958.

Billy married Mary Lou Thornburg on January 22, 1959 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church. They were married

for 40 years and had two sons Jack and Rodney. He retired from Roadway after driving a truck for 33 years in 1992.

Billy enjoyed reading the newspaper, sitting in his recliner and watching westerns and listening to classic country channel 811. He also liked feeding the chickens from the front porch or any animal that came to visit. His roadtriping to dragstrips came to a screeching halt after they traveled to Columbus, Ohio and he came folded up in a cot after seeing the arches.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Thornburg; parents, Clint and Mable Costlow; brothers Clint Costlow and Mac Costlow; sisters, Alyne Stephens and Adelle Cook; and grandson Dalton

Costlow.

Billy is survived by his sons, Jack and wife Teresa Costlow, Rodney and wife Christine Costlow; grandchildren, Michele and husband Mikey Hammers , Lauren and husband Nathan Moonshower, Devon Costlow, Lexi Costlow and Colleen Costlow; great-grandchildren Mikey Hammers, Austin Hammers, and Emory Moonshower; sisters Gayle and Husband Joe Dean, Georgette and Ray Coker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Billy will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Followed by a committal service will occur at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
