Billie Ruth Thompson Shelton, 88, of Dallas passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at a rehab center in Dallas. She lived a beautiful life filled with generosity for her family and friends.
She was born in Grand Prairie, TX on December 5, 1926 to Edward and Mary Susan McCoy Thompson. Billie married Richard Vernon Shelton in 1947 and they settled in Dallas and enjoyed 39 years of marriage until his death in 1986. Billie worked for Bearing Chain and Supply in Dallas and retired after 33 years of loyal service.
Survivors include her daughter Patricia Ann Shelton of Dallas, granddaughter Julie Richards of Frisco; sister Mary Sue Shelton of Arlington; numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was preceded in death by husband Richard “Dick” Shelton and beloved son James Robert “Bob” Shelton and two brothers, John Thompson and Pete Thompson and sister Evelyn Thompson Parker.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Noon on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225.
