Betty Jo Williams was second of four children born in Dallas, Texas in 1938 to Alberta Johnson Locke and Clifford C. Locke Sr., she received Christ at an early age who with her sisters Mattie Locke Buckner and Darlene Locke has proceeded her in life.
Betty Williams leaves to remember her sons Stephen (Herrona) and Wendel, brother Clifford Locke Jr (Charles Etta), grandchildren, Arista, Stephanie, Stephen Williams II, Dameon Sansom, Carnell Green and ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Betty was a member of the Arise Church Duncanville, under the leadership of Pastor Chris Gutierrez.
Betty graduated from Lincoln High School in Dallas in 1957 with high honors. She went on to work for Safeway food as one of the 1st black women to be hired, she was employed for USPS 22 years, at RTC, she was a Certified Home Health Aide, and a Maternity Ward Clerk. Betty Jo finished her career as an Pharmacy clerk at Walmart at the age of 80.
Betty has always believed in the Lord and always has shared her faith with family, friends and strangers. She always helped those in need and cherished all that helped her too. Betty will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
