Betty was preceded in death by her mother Lottie Bell Doman father Mert Brown and adopted parents John Lewis and Anna Lewis. Betty was one of four siblings which preceded her in death as well brothers Robert Earl Brown, Bennie Lee Brown and Jerry Donnell Brown.
Betty received her formal education in Mart, Texas and decided to move to Dallas, Texas to pursue her next chapter in life. She was a dedicated employee at the Perot Museum for over a decade until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and her close friends at her favorite place McDonalds. She was always the life of the party.
Betty accepted Christ at a young age and was a lifelong Member at Warren United Methodist Church. She enjoyed feeding the homeless and served on countless Boards throughout the years. She was a part of many organizations and was most proud to be on Warren United Methodist Usher Board. She received numerous awards of recognition for her dedication and steadfast devotion as an Usher.
Betty married Raymond Scott and with this union had three children Marquies Scott, Roderick Scott, and Shelia Green.
She leaves to mourn her children Marquies Scott (Vikki Scott), Roderick Scott, Shelia Green. Grand Daughters -Yejide Scott, Princess Sanders (Casey Sanders), Grand Sons- Kevin Scott (Tretisha George), Keith Scott (Ashley Scott), Justin Scott (Desire), Marquies Scott II and Kendrick. And a host of great grand kids and other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
