Barbara J. Taylor

Barbara J Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2024 in Crandall, Texas. She was born March 18, 1938 in Fisher County, Texas to Barney Price Campbell and Ethel Mildred Cordell. Barbara was raised in DeKalb, Texas. She married Lester Taylor on April 16, 1956 in Durant, Oklahoma. They raised 3 children in Dallas. Barbara worked as a secretary to many in Dallas Independent School District including Skyline High School (which was one of her most memorable experiences) until she retired at the Administration Office. She retired after serving 25 years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading and traveling the world. She will be remembered by family and friends for her quick whit, her smile, teaching sunday school and being a great friend.

She is preceded in death by her precious grand mother Gertrude Shipp, Her father Barney Campbell and wife Clara Campbell, Her mother Ethel Ferguson and husband W O Ferguson, Her Sister Dorothy Jo Jones, Her Sister Wilene Herring and Grandson Jason Taylor.

She is survived by her Husband Lester Taylor, 3 children Billy Coy and wife Vicki Taylor, Jimmy Don Taylor and wife Dominique Taylor, and Jana Thomas and husband Steve Thomas.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church, 1749 FM148, Crandall, Texas 75114. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1749 FM148, Crandall, Texas 75114. A committal service will occur Monday, December 9, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
