Barbara Ann Sarnowski Stenson

Plano, TX- Barbara Ann Stenson, age 59 passed away, February 3, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 12, 1950 in Schenectady, NY to Edward and Wilhemina Sarnowski.Barbara spent her life helping others. She began her charitable works delivering meals on wheels in 1972 and continued caring for others throughout her life. She especially enjoyed visiting local nursing homes where she made many friends. Barbara made an impression on everyone she met! But most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed by everyone.Mrs. Stenson is survived by her husband of 38 years Lawrence James Stenson; four sons, Gregory Killian Stenson and wife Gia, James Edward Stenson and girlfriend Amanda Scott, Michael Lawrence Stenson and fiancée Patty Dimaano, Steven Gregory Stenson and wife Brooke; and her three beautiful grandchildren, Anna, Tore, and Ava.A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75023. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Rd, Dallas, TX 75252.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Christian Children’s Fund www.childsfund.org, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjudes.org or the charity of the donors choice.
