My beautiful, precious Mother passed to Heaven early morning Wednesday. My husband Tom Harmon, my daughter Dawna Duke, my son Mikel Duke and I were able to be with her and tell her we love her. Mother was able to live at home and had the kindest, loving caregivers. She was able to have drop-in family often, several times a day. Mother loved my children so much. She was always excited to see or talk to them. I'm so grateful Mother was able to meet and love her great-grandchildren, Simon Ray Duke and Palmer Adair Blackwood. She smiled, laughed, loved life, her family and friends. Mother was so sweet. Even in the hospital everyone kept telling me how sweet my mother is. To know her was to love her.
Mother loved to go out to eat. This was her hobby. Until Covid hit we went out to lunch every single day. After Covid started, Mother loved for me to bring her food from her favorite restaurants; Chuby's, Humble Pie and Fish & Tails, among others.
I miss my Mother more than words can saym but she's with my Daddy, her Mother and many friends. Our world has changed. Tom and I spent so much of our days doing, caring for and spending time with my mother. Mother will always be smiling and laughing in my heart, but it's broken now, 💔 only because I miss her.
❤️ Love always ❤️
