She was born in Mission, Texas where she graduated high school. During the war, she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at Moore Air Force Base near Mission. After she married, Aurora was in retail sales in McAllen, TX. In 1987, she and her husband moved to Dallas to be near their children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Garza, and her son, Guillermo Garza. She is survived by her daughters: Esmer Garza Wear (Jim); Pearl Garza Fracchia (Tony); sons: Andy Garza and Roland W. Garza. In addition, she is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 29, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary to be held at 6:00 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel with Father John Libone officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
