9/9/21 to 8/26/14
Our Mom went on to be with the Lord peacefully Aug 26, 2014 early in the morning. She was under the loving care of family and Hospice Select. Mom had a wonderful life, 92 years old (to be 93 Sept 9th this year). She left an indelible mark on every one that knew her, especially all of us in her family who loved her so much. Her faith wasn’t in theory but in practice every day. She shared Christ by her actions and words. She loved John 3:16, For God so loved the world He gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him should not parish but have eternal life. Mom is survived by two children: Bill White and wife, Mary Ann, and Sharon Nored: six grandchildren; Jamison Tumlinson, Andy White and his wife, Lori, Chris Moore and his wife, Leigh, Allison White, Kevin Moore and his wife,Kelly, and Danny White and his wife, Meredith: five great grandchildren; Kameron Smith, Justin Smith, Avery Moore, Lawson Moore, Ella Grace Moore, Addison White and Will White. And numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Othan White; her daughter, Marsha Moore; her mother, Sadie Hazelwood, and her sister, Vinah Louise (VL) Reeves. Her life was a symphony of her strong faith, hope, patience and contentment. After her love for the Lord Mom loved family. She had good things to say about all of us. And she likewise found the good in her friends and neighbors, as well. She encouraged each of us and she will be greatly missed but her memory will continue to live with us all. Francis Schaeffer, a noted
American theologian once said, “How then shall we now life?” Some of us believe, as Mom believed, that death is only the end of our lives here on earth and the beginning of the eternity that follows. On earth we have many choices but in eternity there are only two choices. Mom is with the Lord today. She has given each of us a wonder Christian foundation and a heritage to guide us for a lifetime. In that we can celebrate. Another verse she liked is: Psalm 16: 5-6, The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup: you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places: indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. (ESV) The family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions/ donations be given in Mother’s name to: HOSPICE SELECT BENEVOLENT FUND, 12068 Forest Gate, Suite B, Dallas, TX 75243.
