Aretha Inez Boughton

Aretha was raised, for the most part, in McKinney, Texas. She attended Allen Elementary & McKinney High. She married Donald "Maynard" Boughton on April 2, 1956. Together they had one daughter, Rosalie Ann Boughton at Mitchel Clinic in McKinney. Maynard and Aretha owned & operated Maynard's Plumbing for 55+ years, along with Aretha's Collection which was a thrift store located next door to each other. Both businesses were staples in the East Dallas community for many decades.

Aretha enjoyed many things in life; camping, gardening, cooking and collecting things for her home & shop. She was a good friend, always willing to help out & very fun loving. She was a good mother and wife.

Aretha is preceded in death by her parents Charlie & Rosie Campbell, her husband Maynard and her grandson Jerry Harrison. She was the last of her siblings Cecil, Recil Christeen, John David & Ima.

She leaves behind her daughter Rosalie Harrison, grandsons Donnie Harrison & Thomas Seymour, 3 great granddaughters Ryleigh, Londyn & Summer Rose and 1 great grandson Jerimiah.

Mama, I think of all the things we've gone & went through; and just who would have thought they would lead me to this day? You are an amazing woman and without of all of your stubbornness & guidance pushing me along in life there is no doubt that I wouldn't be where I am today.

Cancer may have stolen her from this world but her love & memories we shared are ours!! You can not take those, they are forever in our hearts!
