On September 10,1936, T.L. Frazier and Dizzlee Frost became the proud parents of Archie Mae Frazier, the second of 4 children. She was educated in the Claiborne Parrish Public School District. After graduation from high school she met and married her first love, Mr. Rubin M. Webb, to this union 2 children were born. Archie was always a hard worker, a very good wife, a great Mother and a good neighbor. Archie was widowed at age 20 with 2 young boys to feed and support. She moved to Dallas, TX. in early 1963 to provide a better life for her 3 children and 1 on the way. Once she arrived in Dallas she worked various jobs including Housekeeper at the Cabana Motor Hotel, Waitress at Semos Restaurant, Maid at many private residences and eventually landed a job at the Dallas Independent School District where she worked over 20 years until her retirement.
At an early age she was baptized at Mt. Pisgah CME Church, Homer Claiborne Parrish LA. Upon moving to Dallas in 1963 she placed her membership with Sweet Home Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. S.A. Armstrong. Archie was a Devoted and Faithful Woman of God. She enjoyed Gospel Music and Studying the word of God.
She also loved to play bid Whist, Spades and Solitaire. She was a ruthless, cut throat Domino player and could talk much trash. She was well known for her Greens, Hot water Crackling Bread, her "Bread and Water (Cornbread Dressing), Sweet Potato Pies and Tea Cakes. She enjoyed Bowling, loved to Fish and watch old detective shows, among her favorite, Mannix, Hawaii 5.0, Perry Mason and Kojak. She always told you the truth even if it was not what you wanted to hear. She was a pussycat at heart and yet was genuine to a fault. She sugar coated NOTHING, everyone always knew where they stood with her (we would wonder at times where we stood). She liked you or she didn"t, it was black and white,
Archie devoted her life to her children, even as Adults she liked to micromanage us.
Momma quietly entered into eternal life on Monday, May 09, 2022 at home in Balch Springs, Tx. surrounded by Family, She is survived by her 5 children who make up the entirety of her world. Billy (68), Thelma (63) Ray (59), Michael (57) and Patricia (55), among those who deeply mourn her transition are her children, daughter in law Audrey "Rie" , Brothers, Billy G. Norton, Linton Frazier both of Dallas, Tx. 5 special nieces Carolyn Wheeler (Dana) Houston, TX., Cherie Mohamed (Panky) San Leandro, Ca. Tamara Thompson, (Jeff ) Desoto, TX. Because our pets give us unconditional love to enrich our lives, the delight of her later years is the appropriately named Bella, a friendly, huggy, kissy toy poodle, my Momma's self appointed guard dog.
If Archie was still here today she would want all of those she left behind to celebrate her life and find comfort and joy in the fact that she is in the arms of our Father and in a place with no pain or misery. Many lives will never be the same.
