Alex Salinas Carrillo, born November 17, 1921 in Taylor, Texas, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 19, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eloise Carrillo, daughter, Monica Carrillo (Johnny Adams) and son, John Carrillo (Debra), one grandson, one granddaughter, two step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Monico Lopez Carrillo and Esther Salinas Silva and sisters Esther Carrillo Gonzales and Naomi Carrillo Martinez. He attended Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri, and also SMU in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945 and he retired from the US Post Office in 1977. Family visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Funeral services Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., June 22, 2011 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel in Dallas. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. One big final thank you to Francine Small and Dorice Davis, for their loving care.
