Roland Edwin Melton

Roland was a beloved husband, brother, father, and Paw Paw. He retired from American MTS formerly Electric Motor Service in 2022. Roland enjoyed going to NASCAR and NHRA drag races. He also loved working on old cars and riding motorcycles.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Melton. He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Barbara; his son, Eric Melton (Jennifer); Grandchildren, Hailey Hawkins (Jeffery), and Jake Melton; and Great Granddaughter Sophia Grace Hawkins; Brothers, Cleveland Melton (Sondra) and William “Billy” Melton; special cousin, Junior Wood (Teresa); numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A service celebrating Roland’s life will be held Friday, February 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, NC 28034, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shephards Way Dr. Dallas, NC 28034.
