Gregory "Gregg" Brent Thompson

Gregory "Gregg" Brent Thompson, age 59, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born in Gaston County on December 11, 1962 to Jerry Marlin and Phyllis Stillwell Thompson.

Gregg graduated from North Gaston High School in 1981. He married Della Street Thompson on March 17, 1984.

Mr. Thompson worked in printing for Jordan Graphics. He was a member of Rankin Lake Baptist Church and had a passion for sports, fishing, model cars, racing and art. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren, devoting all of his free time to them.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Della Thompson; children, Casey Outwater and husband Daniel, Jay Thompson, Catie Thompson and Shannon Hall; grandchildren, Alexis, Bradley, Allison, Anja, Eliza, Autumn, Payton, Daniel, Lilly and Jaxon; siblings, Jeff Thompson, Kelly Fincher, Kristy Thompson, Jason Thompson, and Jerry Street; father and mother-in-law, Franklin and Beatrice Morgan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Gregg will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, North Carolina 28034, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
