Ella Mae Terres Kinley

A native of Gaston county, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Lemuel Terres and Myrtle Lineberger Terres.

Ella Mae was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she served as a member of the Quilting team and Joy Group. Ella Mae was recognized for making over 400 baby quilts and making the choir robes for the Children’s Choir. Ella Mae graduated from Dallas High School and was employed in several companies as a seamstress before retiring from P.R.N. Uniforms.

Ella Mae is survived by her son, John David Kinley. Jr, and wife Ruth of Winston Salem; daughters, Kathy Kinley Ledbetter and husband Barry of Shelby, and Linda Faye Kinley of Raleigh; brother, Edwin Douglas (Doug) Terres and wife Sally Finger Terres of Dallas; sister-in-law, Betty Baker Terres of Gastonia; grandsons, Craig B. Ledbetter of Charlotte and Keith T. Ledbetter and wife Tommi Beth of Candler; foster grandson, Coty Nelson; great-grandchildren, Raelyn E. Ledbetter and Cainan T. Ledbetter of Candler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David (J.D.) Kinley Sr.; sisters, Mary Lee Terres and Faye Terres Blalock; brothers, Jacob (Jake) L. Terres, Flay Terres.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30pm Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dallas with Revs. Jonathan Schnibben and John Bollinger officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Monday at the church prior to the service.
