Daniel Evan Garrison, 38, of Dallas died tragically on Saturday February 10, 2023. Daniel was known by most people as “Dano.” Dano graduated from North Gaston High School with honors. His family says he was “all boy.” Dano played baseball from T-ball on up. He was an all-star on the Dallas team when he was a youth. Dano lived life to the fullest. He liked to be on “the edge” in all he did. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he backed UNC Chapel Hill, Tar Heels, basketball. Professionally, he worked many years as a welder and later he joined his family’s sanitation business. However, most of all Dano loved his boys. He was the proud father of two boys. He was with his children’s mother for over 19 years. Dano had a significant impact on many people’s lives and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Preceding Daniel in death is his brother, Danny William “Dump” Garrison, Jr. Dano’s parents have lost both of their sons. Unfortunately, both died when they were only 38.
His sons, Preston Daniel Keith Garrison, age 12, and Dallas Levi Garrison, age 8, survive Dano. Dano also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, Megan Parker. Grieving the loss of their second and only surviving child is his parents, Linda (Blanton) Garrison and Danny William Garrison, Sr. His parents are from Dallas, NC.
The Dallas Funeral Home (Carothers) is serving the family and the family will receive friends Thursday evening February 15, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, NC.
