Née à Balmoral le 28 juin 1935, elle était la fille de feue Christine (McIntyre) et de feu Louis Drapeau.
Outre son époux Gérard, elle fut prédécédée par ses frères Leonard, Albert, Louis, Arthur, Harry et Robert; ses sœurs Eva, Aline, Ida et Myrtle. Elle était la dernière survivante de sa famille.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses quatre filles : Marthe (Donald Roy), Julie (feu Ronald Philippe), Carmen (Luc Paulin) et Lynne (Danny Dow), ses petits-enfants Eric, Édith, Maxime, Valérie, Émilie, Sarah et Andrée, ses arrière-petits-enfants Kassandra, Layla, Hayden, Evelyne, Leighton, Hannah et Éloïse, ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Dalhousie le mercredi 21 août à 14h00.
Il n’y aura pas de visite au salon funéraire.
Pour ceux qui le désirent, un don en sa mémoire peut être fait aux organismes suivants : le Coin d’entraide à l’église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Dalhousie, ainsi qu’au centre Haven of Hope de Dalhousie, deux causes qui lui tenaient énormément à cœur.

Passed away at her residence on Wednesday August 14 2024 at the age of 89, Mme Yvonne Roy of Dalhousie, wife of the late Gérard Roy.
Born in Balmoral on June 28 1935, she was the daughter of Christine (McIntyre) and Louis Drapeau.
Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Leonard, Albert, Louis, Arthur, Robert and Harry and her sisters Eva, Aline, Ida and Myrtle. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her four daughters; Marthe (Donald Roy), Julie ( late Ronald Philippe), Carmen (Luc Paulin) and Lynne (Danny Dow); her grandchildren Éric, Édith, Maxime, Valérie, Émilie, Sarah and Andrée; her great-grandchildren Kassandra, Layla, Hayden, Evelyne, Leighton, Hannah and Éloïse, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held in Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Dalhousie on Wednesday August 21 at 2:00.
There will be no visitation.
