Born in Bertrand NB on September 25, 1944, daughter of the late Edmond Godin and of the late Ada (Roussel) Godin.
Many may remember her from her different retail jobs before she retired. She was a volunteer at the United Church Thrift Shop for over 30 years. She was known for her hugs and her wonderful smile.
She loved to help at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, the SPCA Bookstore, the Girl Guides of Dalhousie, the Coutu Crew Relay for Life team, the Catechism program, the Dalhousie Figure Skating and Dalhousie Minor Hockey clubs, would all have benefited from her time volunteering over the years.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Terrio, her son Charles(Cate) of Charlottetown, PEI, her daughter Kathy(Kevin) of Dalhousie, NB, and her son Mark(Shelley) of Dalhousie Junction, NB. Her beloved grandchildren: Bradley (Kristina), Kayley (Drake), Trevor, Amy and Amber.
Very close to her siblings, she will be missed by sisters: Virginia (late Paul) of Ontario, Delia (Armand) of Dundee NB, Huguette (George) of Dalhousie NB, Gilberte (late Randy) of Dalhousie NB, Lousielle (late Jean) of Riverview NB, Edmonde (late Gerry) of Fredericton NB and France(Kevin) of Point La Nim NB. Brother, Jean Pierre(Carol) of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Her sister in law Janet (Ralph) of Dalhousie NB. She was predeceased by her brothers Phillippe and Claude.
Her Terrio family share in grieving: Jim (Sherma) of Sackville NB, Anna Hookey (Len) of Charlottetown PEI, Richard(Linda) of Scoudouc NB and predeceased by Danny and Carol Terrio of Amherst N.S.
She was lucky to be Matante and Aunt to her special nieces and nephews, on both sides of the family. A dear friend to many and affectionately known as Precious by those who knew her best.
Funeral mass will be held at the Saint John Bosco church on Thursday July 9 at 11:00 am.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Church will accept a maximum of 88 people; to attend the funeral mass, you are required to call and register with Chris Kingston at 506-684-2810.
The family would like to thank the Campbellton Regional Hospital Palliative Unit and the Oncology Clinic staff, the staff of the Extramural office in Dalhousie NB, and the staff of Jean Coutu Dalhousie for their wonderful care.
Donations can be made to the Restigouche County SPCA , in lieu of flowers.
