She was 80, having been born in Dalhousie on November 29th, 1938. She was predeceased by her parents, Marg and Oscar McLaughlin.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynn, four grandchildren, Janelle Lamrock (Patrick) of Fredericton, Jacklyn Pierre of Ottawa, Pierre St. Laurent of Edmonton and Gilles St. Laurent of Tide Head, NB. Two brothers and sister-in-laws, David and Chris McLaughlin of Dalhousie and Doug and Anne McLaughlin of Charlo NB. She is also leaving behind two nieces, Beverly (Paul) Arnold of Kars, Ontario with their two daughters Micaela and Madelyn and her second niece , Kelly (John) Tanner of Courtice, Ontario with their son Brock.
Martha worked at the mill in Dalhousie for over 30 years in a variety of departments in a secretarial capacity.. She will be remembered for her generosity and volunteering.
Funeral services at the St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, Friday at 2:00 pm
Visitations at Maher’s Funeral Home, 421 Victoria St., Dalhousie, Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Interment at the St. Bosco cemetery, with her parents.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of the staff at The Renaissance for their compassion and care. It was very touching and much appreciated.
Thank you too, to the staff and personnel at Darlington Nursing home during her time there. A special thank-you also to all those who came to visit , the texts, messages, phone calls and for the encouraging words, and the special moments that you have shared with us over the past few years.
