After retirement, Clay moved from London Ontario back to his hometown of Campbellton New Brunswick to live his life to the fullest- which meant being on the golf course as often as he could, playing the sport that he loved. Clay was always the life of the party. He could keep you laughing with his great sense of humour or tapping your toes to his guitar. Everyone who knew Clay, knew that he loved animals, especially all of his cats. He leaves behind Dexter and Peanut (aka Spencer) who brought him so much joy and happiness.
Survived by his sister Darlene and brother Bryce (Elaine), and children Jonathan and Rebecca. Loving uncle to Natalie, Craig, Danielle, Nicole, and Chelsea Predeceased by his father Arnold Charlong and Grandparents William “Bubby” and Ursula “Nanny” Charlong.
Respecting the family's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Clay’s final resting place will be at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.
Please join the family in having a toast to Clay on Monday July 8 from 4-7pm at 79 Maple Green Cres. Dalhousie Junction. In memory of Clay, donations can be made to an animal charity of your choice.
