Tom Illius was born August 30,1928 and raised in Cleveland Ohio. Tom became a Personal Manager and owner of a recording studio, with such clients as The Ponytails(“Born Too Late”) and other musicians. Tom co-managed Frank Fontaine(Jackie Gleason Show) and then worked for Ashley Famous Agency in New York as an agent in their Nightclub Department.
Tom joined The William Morris Agency in 1971, first in the Chicago office, moving to the New York office in 1973 where he headed the Record Department. Tom came to the Beverly Hills office in 1975 and in 1980 became Vice President specializing in nightclub productions such as MOULIN ROUGE (Reno and Vegas editions).
Tom Guided the Nederlander Organization’s entrance into legitimate theater in Reno with such productions as HELLO DOLLY w/ Carol Channing in 1976,MUSIC MAN,MY FAIR LADY,ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, ANNIE, and BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS.
Tom’s clients include Charo, Tony Orlando, Della Reese, Bill Cosby, Debbie Reynolds, Jim Nabors, Jerry Lewis, Nederlander Organization for the state of Nevada
