William Edward Green

William Edward Green, 74, of Front Royal, VA, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Front Royal, Va. Eddie was born May 7, 1948 in Warren County, the son of the late Henry and Dora Harris Green. He spent his life in Front Royal, known by his closest friends as “Shaft”. Music played a big part of his life, and he played in many bands as a drummer. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Costello Green Jr. He is survived by his sister, Barbara A. Green; three nephews: Tony Green, Ricky Green, and H.C. Green; a niece, Angela Green Kavanaugh; two great-nieces, Hadley Green and Kennedy Joyce; six great-nephews: Keith Green, Maurice Green, Chandler Brooks, Seth Alston, Dustin Green, and Gray Kavanaugh; a cousin, Gloria Harris Floyd; among other family members. The service will be conducted Tuesday March 15, 2022 at 11am at Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal, with Rev Brevetta Jordan officiating. The family would like to thank the outpouring of love they have shown the family. May he rest in peace.
