Marie O'Donnell Moran

Marie G. Moran, 95, of Culpeper, VA passed away at her residence Thursday, February 19, 2015. Marie was born in Nesquehoning , PA to John C. O’Donnell and Susan McGarry O’Donnell August 9, 1919; was married to James J. Moran, Sr.; served her country in the U.S. Navy as a nurse; was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Culpeper Women’s Club, the Novum Quilters and the Culpeper Country Club. Marie retired after 49 years as a registered nurse.

Surviving Mrs. Moran are her children, Kathleen Moran of Culpeper, VA, James Moran and his wife Carol of Lakewood, CO, Thomas Moran and his wife Alice of Massapequa, NY and John Moran and his wife Mary of Dallas, TX and her grandchildren, Meredith Moran, Susan Moran and Thomas Moran. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings, Kathleen Dormer, Florence Tague and Ann Maybry.

Funeral services will be held in Precious Blood Catholic Church Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00a.m. with Father Anselme Malonda-Nkuanga officiating the Mass. Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Clore-English Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
