Helen Towsey Partlow, 100, of Chesterfield, VA passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Spring Arbor of Salisbury. She was born to Samuel Towsey and Gladys Virginia Towsey Smith in Brandy Station, VA on July 10, 1921. Helen began as an operator with C&P Telephone and retired decades later in management. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her twin granddaughters and great-grandchildren. So much so that she moved to Chesterfield, Virginia so she could be closer to them. Helen excelled in many things -- she was an accomplished gardener, an excellent cook, a fastidious seamstress, and a loyal friend.
Surviving Mrs. Partlow is her daughter, Donna Clark Hester (John); her granddaughters, Lynne Leggett (Stephen) and Leigh Hester, and her great-grandchildren, Megan Leigh Leggett and Nicholas William Leggett. Mrs. Partlow is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Alvin “Red” Clark and William “Billy” Partlow.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00P.M. in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
