OBITUARY
Gregory Lynn Garr
2 November, 1968 – 4 June, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Clore-English Funeral Home
Greg Garr passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 54 in his home after a
courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his year and a half long battle, Greg
remained positive, strong, and never wavered in his faith.
Throughout his battle with cancer, God led him to Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the
plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Tammy. He was a proud dad to his
two children, Cory and Katie, and his best buddy, Brody.
He could always be found at the family-owned business, Shenandoah Garden Spot,
making people laugh, spreading joy, and selling you stuff that you didn’t think you
needed. His joyous and child-like spirit was contagious. He always kept people laughing
because he could find humor in every life circumstance.
In his spare time, he loved to relax and unwind at the beach with his family. He enjoyed
cooking and baking, and if you were lucky enough, you got to try one of his famous
homemade rolls. At the end of the day, his favorite thing was to be surrounded by
people, telling one of his many stories.
His legacy will live in the hearts and minds of everyone that interacted with him as well
as those he reached but never met.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2013 at 11am at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper, VA. We ask that you honor Greg by bringing his positive and uplifting spirit with you.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont (https://hopva.org). However, flowers will be accepted in respect to Greg's love of plants.
