Grace Kearnes Frazier, age 80, of Amissville, VA, passed away at Fauquier Hospital Saturday, March 24, 2012. Born November 2, 1931, to Powhatan Beverly Kearnes and Mary Embrey Kearnes, Grace retired from the Culpeper County school system as a cafeteria manager; was a member of Jeffersonton United Methodist Church; loved reading, sewing, cooking, and being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving Grace are her children, Margaret Wharton and her husband George of Amissville, VA, Thomas Glen Frazier and his wife Stephanie of Queens, NY, Dr. Charles Owen Frazier and his wife Lisa of Williamsburg, VA, Nancy L. Cortese and her husband Paul of Keedysville, MD; her sister, Thelma Stup of Frederick, MD and sisters-in-law, Donna Jeanne Kearnes and Florene Atkins Brown, thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her husband, Thomas T. Frazier, a son, James Donald Frazier, seven brothers and three sisters, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
There will be a time of visitation held Tuesday evening, March 27, 2012, at Clore-English Funeral Home, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Forbes officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA.
