Frances was born on July 29, 1931 to the late Madie and Dewey Hudson. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred B. Payne.
She is survived by six children: Wayne Payne, Susan Payne, Beverly Sturm, Sandra Brown,
Patricia Payne, and Francis (Buck) Payne. She is also survived by one sister, Phyllis Yancey of Culpeper.
Frances was born and raised in Rappahannock County. She and Fred lived in Boston, VA.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Mercy Anane for the many kindnesses she continually bestowed on Frances as she cared for her during her period of convalescence.
The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 493 Blackwell Rd., Warrenton, VA 20186.
