Thomas was a graduate of Wallace State and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Southern Research Institute in Birmingham. Thomas was an avid hunter and spent many many hours in Bankhead Forest.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Mary Kathleen Baty White, and a daughter, Christy Margaret White.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Maureen Anne White; son, George Thomas White; sisters: Shirley (David) Day and Cindy (Scott) Joseph; brothers: James (Joyce) White and Gregory (Cindy) White and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and hunting buddies.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The military graveside celebration of Thomas’ life will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Valley Springs Cemetery.
