Bull served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper stationed in Germany. He was a machinist at Hayes Aircraft/Pemco and this is where he was given his nickname “Bull”, he was jokingly told he was bull headed. He was a huge Auburn fan, and enjoyed watching Nascar. He was a longtime Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Burl and Dovie Hicks Goodwin; wife, Doris Louise Thomas Goodwin; grandson, Coty Anthony Goodwin; 2 sisters and 7 brothers.
He is survived by his sons: Kenny Wayne Goodwin and Anthony Louis “Tony” Goodwin; granddaughter, Kandiss Nekohl Goodwin; great granddaughters: Saban Nekohl Goodwin and Elsa Kaye Goodwin; brother, Lloyd Goodwin and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dudley Brock officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Valley Springs Cemetery.
