He was preceded in death by daughter, Theresa James; son, Troy Hastings and mother, Betty Jean Jones.

Michael is survived by his wife, Geneva Jones; daughters: Regina Allen, Lisa Tucker & Crystal McGraw; son, Jeremiah Jones; father, Gerial Jones (Jean); sister, Tonya Blankenship (Terry); grandchild, Jace Jones; step grandchildren: Rhodney James, Breanna Hastings, Fleshia Johnson, Nicklous Johnson, Abbygail Hastings, Hunter Hastings, Brady Hastings, Nathan Tucker, Weston Tucker, Daisy McGraw, & Bo McGraw; and 3 step great grandchildren: Alyssa Hastings, Connar Campbell & McKenzie Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Moss Service Funeral Home. The celebration of Michael's life will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2:00pm at Moss Service Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
