In memory of the free spirit who started her journey in the big city of New York and ended up in a small town in Alabama. With stops in Florida, California, Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky in between. She had a wondering spirit and a loving heart. Leaving a lasting impression everywhere she went. Touching lives with her bright and sparkling personality. Making friends that she would keep throughout her incredible and well traveled life. Whether it was dancing or singing praise songs to her savior, she brought joy and happiness to those who knew her. Fueled by her faith in God and an intense yearning to live by His word, she embodied the spirit of Christ to the best of her ability until her dying breath. May she rest in peace in the loving arms of He who is greater and shall take away all our pain and suffering when we see his face.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Glenn Massey; children, Natalie (Jeremy) Burgett, Caroline (Lee) Gamble, Danielle Stanford, Ian (Elizabeth) Massey and Annabella (Michael) Villano; grandchildren, Mahala, Addison, Reinhart, Katalina, Shiloh, Bowen, Liam, Clark, Emily, Lily, Alicia and Arlo and her mother, Alice Kirkendall.
She was preceded in death by her father, Angel Gonzalez, step-father, James C Kirkendall and sister, Annette Golden.
Graveside service will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Hanceville, Alabama May 26th at 4:30 pm, with a memorial service and potluck at Fairview West Baptist church at 5:00 pm.
