Milton Vretenar

Of St. Francis, Born To Eternal Life October 13, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Vretenar. Loving father of Craig (Judy) Vretenar, and Jill (Mark) Doran. Proud grandfather of Ashley Doran, Manuel, and Christina. Dear brother of Ludwig (Shirley) Vretenar, Emily (James) Koch, and the late John Vretenar. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Monday, October 21, at 11:00AM at St John Ev. Lutheran Church. 4850 S. Lake Dr. Cudahy. Visitation on Sunday from 3:00PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home and on Monday from 10:00AM until time of services at church. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church or to the Slovak Historical Society appreciated.

Milton was the former Mayor of St. Francis for 26 years, and he owned Vretenar Construction for 35 years. He was a member of St. Francis Lions Club, Arts Council, Historical Society, and the Association of Commerce. He was awarded the Citizen of the Year, and the Businessman of the Year.
