OPAL M. FRAZE (NEE WARD) HAMMOND, IN Opal M. Fraze (nee Ward), age 74, of Hammond, IN passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea (John Espinosa) Fraze; four grandchildren: Christopher (Margarita) Nieves, Ashley Probus, John Espinosa, and David Fraze; three brothers: Marvin (Linda) Ward, Glen (Marlene) Ward, and Kenneth Ward; three sisters: Zelma Kopaczewski, Bernease (Roy) Stonebraker and Carol Wolf; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fraze was preceded in death by her husband, David Fraze; and daughter, Tina Nieves. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Rev. Doug Klukken officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Fraze was retired from NIPSCO with 22 years of service. Opal loved her family and will be dearly missed.
