Larry M. Mauk

Larry M. Mauk, age 82, of Jackson, MI, formerly of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born to the late Zebert Main and Mona Bell (Terrell) Mauk in Casey, IL on May 25, 1938. Larry dedicated 37 years of loyal service to NIPSCO and continued working after retirement for Von Tobels for an additional 12 years prior to really retiring. His family will remember that outside of work he enjoyed woodworking, doing crossword puzzles, assembling miniature classic cars and had quite the collection of ball caps. His true passion was his family and his love for His Lord, Jesus Christ. Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gracie E. Mauk; two children; Dawna S. (Barton) Fish of Parma, MI, James M. (Kristen) Mauk of Ridgeway, CO; 11 grandchildren, Michael J. (Kaydee) Fish, Christina M. (Jacob) Dolson, Alicia A. Fish, Rachel (Jim) Blankmeyer, Kenneth (Jennifer) Easton, Daniel Easton, Elizabeth (Scott) Dimick, Jordan Mauk, Viktoria Mauk, Daniel Mauk, Jordan “JJ” Mauk; 10 great-grandchildren, Bella Dolson, Rylee Dolson, Elliot Dolson, Viviana Fish, Rowan Fish, Amelia Blankmeyer, Luke Blankmeyer, Deanne Blankmeyer, Cody Blankmeyer, Mason Dimick; brother, Denzil G. (Carol) Mauk and sister, Diana (Dan) Barth. In addition he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by parents Zebert and Mona Mauk; twin brother, Jerry Mauk and sister, Barbara Ham. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A visitation for Larry will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM with Pastor John Tovey officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Crown Point, IN following the funeral service.
