John N. Wintczak

John N. "Horse/Caballo" Wintczak, age 71, of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Born on December 20,1952 in Gary, IN, John was known for his funny, yet serious and giving nature, preferring not to have a fuss made over him. He was a loving and supportive individual. John served in the Navy for four years. He was a dedicated sailor who served his country with honor. In his free time, John enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, gambling, golfing, riding his harley, and working on cars. These hobbies brought him much joy. John is preceded in death by his mother and father, Chester and Mary Wintczak. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visition to honor and remember John will be held from 11:00 am until the time of his Funeral at 1:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
