Gordon D Edwards

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joella Edwards; children, Dale (Carol) Edwards and Catherine Ganza; grandchildren, Nicole (Luther) Sanders, Nathanael (Kerstin) Edwards, David (Valerie) Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, Amanda (Eric) Ross, James (Kelly) Edwards and Ozzie Edwards; great grandchildren, Dominic, Aidan and Gabriel Sanders, Liam, Samantha and Alyssa Edwards, Jackson and Wyatt Edwards, Lillyana, Eric Jr. and Xander Ross; brother, John William Edwards; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his son, David Gordon Edwards.

Gordon was born February 2, 1934 in Huntland, TN to the late Richard and Cora Edwards and was a graduate of Flintville High School in Flintville, TN. On May 11, 1956 he married the love of his life and together they raised 3 children. Gordon retired from Ford Motor Company, Chicago Heights, IL with 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Gordon was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Pastor James Williams officiating.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
