Freda D. Reyes

Freda was the loving wife to the late Fred G. Reyes, Jr.; beloved mother to Doreen (Robert) Gonsiorowski, Fred (Rita) Reyes and Dawn (Dave) Bell; proud grandmother to Laurel and Cameron Gonsiorowski, Reanna Reyes, Alexis Zachary, Abigail Zachary, Hailey Bell and Alex Bell; great-grandmother to Mason Zachary; loving sister to Eleanor Ceja, Irene (Gilbert) Vera, Lupie (Billy) Rosas, Patricia (Richard) Regaldo, Rosie Alcala, Yvonne (Jim) Walker, Frank (Sue) Alcala, Vincent (June) Alcala, the late Nancy (the late Richard) Szromba, the late Sylvia Loredo, the late Peggy (Orlando) Lopez; and aunt to many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Freda was an administrative assistant at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens for many years, then she was a secretary at the Sheriff's Office in the Crown Point Government Center. She was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother who cherished every moment spent with her children. Her days were brightened by their company and the joy they brought into her life. She also found great pleasure in her daily walks, which provided her with a sense of peace and tranquility. Her beloved husband, Fred, preceded her in death and passed away five years ago. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Her gentle spirit and the warmth she shared with her family will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1 West Wilhelm Road, Schererville, IN 46375. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
