Dorisand Clettenberg

Dorisand Clettenberg, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away December 3, 2024. Born on February 3, 1954, to the late John and Betty Smith, Dorisand spent her life spreading joy and love to those around her. With a heart for service, Dorisand dedicated many years to the Lake Central School District as a school bus driver. She also worked as a cashier and customer service representative at Strack and Van Til in Saint John. In her free time, Dorisand enjoyed sharing adventures with her husband, Michael, on their motorcycles. She took great delight in beating him at cards on their deck, too!

Dorisand is survived by her loving husband, Michael Clettenberg; step-children, Steven (Christy) Clettenberg and Julie Sealy; cherished grandchildren, Brenna, Bryce, Blaine, Katy, Caroline, and the late Carson; devoted brother, Tom Smith; fond niece and nephew, Preston and Paris; and many beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and cousins.

A visitation for Dorisand will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family.
