He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ruby, Edna, Beulah, Cecil, June, and Jacob Isaac, Jr.; and his grandson, Benjamin Kemper.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Faye; children, Gail (Dave) Kemper, Jeff Taylor, Gregory Alan (Chris) Taylor, and Jamie (Stephanie) Taylor; grandchildren, Chris (Linda) Kemper, Curt (Tricia) Kemper, Julia (Nate) Ziese, Chase Taylor, Gavin Taylor, Kaelie Taylor, Ellie Taylor, Addison Taylor, and Morgan Taylor; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Kemper, Hayden Kemper, Avi Kemper, Nora Kemper, and Xavier Kemper.
Bill grew up in rural Kentucky and served in the Kentucky National Guard from 1954 to 1955, then moved to Northwest Indiana to pursue a job with Ford Motor Company and, subsequently, worked as a tool and die maker for 45 years. He loved fishing, repairing and restoring cars, gardening, and beekeeping. He was truly a jack of all trades on their five acre farm in Valparaiso, IN. Bill was easy going and had a quiet charm, but he could drive you crazy whistling while he worked, usually quietly whistling Beautiful Dreamer.
He was a wonderful father and cherished husband. "Dad was a man of few words, but they were always kind ones."
