Anna Adelle Powers

She is survived by her daughter, Rowena (Dave) Wilcoxson; son, Dickie (Natalie) Powers; grandchildren, David (Jen) Wilcoxson and Alex (Katherine) Wilcoxson; great grandson, Ethan Wilcoxson; brother, Morris Lax and many extended family members.

Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Huston Powers and brothers, Walter R. Lax and Robert M. Lax.

Anna was born on December 18, 1935 in East Chicago. She married the love of her life Oscar Powers on September 25, 1954 and together they raised two children. She retired with over 35 years in foodservice for Burger's and Ultra Foods. She and Oscar moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1988 and she returned to Indiana following his passing. Anna enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting and ceramics. Anna was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Pastor James Williams officiating.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday from 2:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
