My husband, Ted, and I offer our heartfelt condolences and wishes for solace to Valerie and Paul on the loss of Robert, their wonderful husband and father. Our hope is that happy and precious memories of Robert will in time overcome the pain of his loss. We have our own fond memories of Robert, who from the moment we met him was warm and welcoming and quickly won our hearts. That was nearly eight years ago, shortly after his and Valerie’s son, Paul, and our daughter, Lyn, reunited many years after being high school friends. Lyn and Paul later fell in love and in 2016 married in a beautiful wedding that brought us all together as a family. We loved our get-togethers with Valerie, Robert, Lyn and Paul. They were such joyful occasions, filled with lively conversation and Robert’s delightful wit and sense of humor that always made us laugh – oh, did we laugh! Our only regret is that we did not know this lovely man longer. Our time with Robert was too short and we will miss him; but we will always be grateful for those memories of the times we had with him.
