In 1943, he was born to longtime Croton-on-Hudson residents, Joseph Souza Borges and Lydia Rancourt Borges.
He died at the age of 77 and is survived by Marion Borges and their loving children: Kimberly Borges, Melissa Brown (husband Adam Brown), Allison Borges (husband Bruce Hayes) and Joseph S. Borges (wife Anne Borges). He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren: Victoria Borges, Blake Borges, Alexa Borges, Faith Brown and Schuyler Brown.
He was a proud locomotive engineer and enjoyed spending his spare time tinkering with and restoring old cars. He was a unique character with a charming playful personality. For all those near and dear to him, it was inevitable that he would adorn you with a playful nickname.
His contagious sense of humor, warm smile and genuinely kind and loving heart will be missed by all who have had the good fortune to know him.
So many fond memories and his unconditional love for family and friends will remain etched in our hearts for an eternity. Dad...Benoit, sweet dreams and have a good sleep. Rest in peace until we meet again...
