John H. Roper of Croton-on-Hudson, NY died peacefully Friday November 13, 2015 surrounded by family after a long illness. Born March 19, 1925 in Jersey City, NJ to John H. and Frances (ReVille) Roper. Survived by his beloved wife Helen (Bakowski), loving children John, Mark and his wife Sandra. Loving grandson John and his wife Paninat, great grandson J.T., granddaughter Erica and her husband Matt Alinkofsky, granddaughter Danielle and husband Matthew York. Visitation will be held Monday, November 16th from 5-9pm at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home 41 Grand Street Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 17th, 10am at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson, NY followed by an interment at Bethel Cemetery.
