James J. Fiorio III

Jim (Jimmy) Fiorio of LaGrange, N.Y. formerly of Cortlandt Manor, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 22 with his wife, children and faithful

pup by his side after a brief yet devastating fight with pancreatic cancer.

Jim grew up in Peekskill, graduated from Hendrick Hudson H.S. in 1971 and served in the Army National Guard from 1972-1977. He recently retired from a 33 year career with Metro North R.R.

Jim and his family moved to LaGrange in 1997 where he spent the majority of his free time simply being a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy, their two childred, Thomas 24 and Kristen 22 as well as his mother Beatrice Fiorio of Cortlandt Manor and his brother Robert Fiorio, also of Cortlandt Manor.

All who were lucky enough to know this incredibly well respected man will truly miss his kindness, his easy-going personality, his smile, his dimple and 'the' wink.

Viewing will be at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME at 41 Grand Street, Croton on Hudson, N.Y. Sunday, August 26 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Columbanus R.C. Church in Cortlandt Manor.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in his name to The Lustgarten Foundation 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, N.Y. to aid in the research of pancreatic disease.
